We don't get paid
until you get paid.
Alert Investigations does not receive any compensation until you are paid by the State of California. We will never ask you for billing information or for money up front. This is risk free to you and your family.

Alert Investigations receives regular updates from the State of California containing millions of records of persons with unclaimed funds. We assign specific records to our investigators and heir finders to attempt to locate the person(s) entitled to the unclaimed funds.
Our investigators receive information such as the last reported mailing address and the full name of the owner of the unclaimed funds. Our investigators then attempt to locate further information about the owner using proprietary databases, Google searches, social media, and obituaries. If we cannot contact the owner of the unclaimed funds due to not being able to locate the information or due to the owner being deceased, we will attempt to find information on the family members.
The State of California can process the claim in as soon as 8 weeks or as long as 6 months. It entirely depends on the complexity of the case and if the correct documents were submitted.
Alert Investigations does not directly charge or receive funds from you (the claimant). At no point will you be required to pay any invoice or provide us with billing information. Alert Investigations only gets paid directly from the state. When the claim is paid out, the state will cut two checks:
1) A check worth 90% of the claim mailed directly to the claimant.
2) A check worth 10% of the claim mailed directly to Alert Investigations.
Example: If you had $20,000 in unclaimed funds and the claim was approved the state would write you a check for $18,000 and the state would write a separate check to Alert Investigations for $2,000.
